Anadolu Group (Turkey) will build a 300-MW dam in Georgia. Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze and Anadolu Group coordinator for energy Turben Izet Aksoy signed the construction deal, Trend reports.Anadolu Group invests in the 85-MW Paravan Dam in Samtkhe-Javakheti. The power plant produces 420 million KW/h. It is worth $125 million of investments.Construction of the Paravan Dam started in 2009 and will be completed in 2015.
Today the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia, Kakha Kaladze has discussed with the representatives of the Italian consulting firm Studio Pietrangeli the project of the Namahvani hydroelectric power station.It was reported that the Italian company has completed its study in one year and recently presented its findings to the Minister.The commission of the cascade hydroelectric power plant Namahvani was scheduled for the first half of 2013 but was delayed for further investigation of possible impact of the plant on the surrounding environment.
